- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Low Security Correctional Institution (LSCI Allenwood), located in White Deer, Pennsylvania, requires Dental Hygienist services. The Government intends to make a single award for this requirement. The estimated quantity for each twelve (12) month period of the contract is approximately 1248 sessions (24 per week). Each session will be equivalent to one hour in length with an anticipated schedule consisting of (3) eight hour work days per week. Specific dates and times are to be determined between the Contractor, and the Health Services Administrator. The Contractor's responsibilities will include the performance of routine and extensive prophylactic procedures on inmate patients. The Contractor will also maintain all written and/or dictated reports as needed on all patients. Recommendations for further diagnostic testing/treatment will be made to the Chief Dental Officer. The services will be performed inside the secure perimeter of the institution. The Contractor will not be responsible for direct inmate management. The performance period will be the base year and four option years. This is open to small business types eligible to receive award. A security investigation/clearance is required. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or after November 20, 2002, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
