Description
Commerce Business Daily A single award may result from this solicitation, with a fixed-price contract. The period of performance is two years with the possibility of a six-month extension. All laboratory data must be comparable throughout the survey with the same laboratory and methods used. The contractor shall perform laboratory analysis for a method for the measurement of selenium. Total serum selenium concentrations are determined using inductively coupled plasma dynamic reaction cell mass spectrometry (ICP-DRC-MS). Provide evidence of recent satisfactory performance for serum selenium by DRC-ICP-MS in a PT program, in addition to extensive trace metals laboratory performance in a variety of biological matrices (blood, urine, plasma, serum).Test results and quality control results must be supplied in machine-readable form no later than three weeks after the specimens are received. It is anticipated that 1792 specimens for selenium will be sent per year for the next two years. Offerors must have a well-established quality assurance program. The Contractor's laboratory must be certified in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA). The estimated release date for this RFP is approximately 15 days after this publication and closing will be approximately 30 days after the issue date. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Government.
