Description

BLM Request for Proposal, NAR030006, Aerial Seeding of 20,000 Acres. This is a synopsis for aerial seeding of approximately 20,000 acres in the Rattle Fire Complex. The burned areas are located in Grand and Uintah Counties, Utah, in an area known as the Book Cliffs. The terrain is extremely rugged with limited vehicle access. Fixed wing aircraft will deliver approximately 200,000 pounds of seed at an application rate of 10 pounds per acre. BLM will provide the seed. An approved DGPS guidance/Navigation or comparable system is required. The project shall be completed within 15 days, weather permitting. This is 100% set-aside for small business. The standard SIC/NAICS classification is 0721/115112. Anticipated issue date of solicitation will be on or about November 19, 2002. Proposals are due December 3, 2002. A firm fixed price contract is anticpated. The approximate award date is December 12, 2002. (See Note 1.).
