Description
NA CBD DRAFT The project consists of dredging the Waterway on the Coast of Virginia at Chesapeake Bay to Magothy Bay, Metompkin Bay and Bradford Bay, each area to a depth of 6 feet MLLW (NOS) with one foot of allowable overdepth. The work shall be performed by a hydrau lic dredge and pipeline with all dredged material transported and placed in the designated Government-furnished overboard placement area for each respective dredging location. The Chesapeake Bay to Magothy Bay work involves dredging approximately 33,000 cu bic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion, the Metompkin Bay work involves dredging approximately 36,600 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion and the Bradford Bay work involves dredging approximately 44,000 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion. Begin performance within 30 calendar days and complete all work within 90 calendar days of receipt of Notice To Proceed (NT P). The Contractor is informed there are environmental concerns and time of year dredging restrictions for the scheduled work areas; therefore, the scheduled work at Chesapeake Bay to Magothy Bay shall be completed first, the scheduled work at Metompkin Ba y second, and the scheduled work at Bradford Bay last. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Duration of the project is 90 calendar days for performance. This is an SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE Procurement. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $17 million. The NAICS code is 23499. The solicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
