- Beaver Meadows Restoration Project involves a variety of ecosystem management activities including cutting and removal of commercial timber, slash treatment, erosion control, slashing of unmerchantable white fire understory trees, road reconstruction and maintenance, decommissioning of non-classified roads, and construction of fire lines and fuel breaks. This is a Section 347 National Stewardship Pilot Project. Contract time is 1,460 calendar days. The project is located in Archuleta County approximately 9 air miles northeast of Bayfield, Colorado. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation is electronic only. No paper copies will be issued. See numbered Note 1. MODIFICATION: A site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2002 to begin at the Columbine Public Lands Office, 367 S. Pearl Street, Bayfield, CO 81122, at 9:00 a.m., local time. CONTACT DAVE CRAWFORD AT (970) 884-1428 TO BE SURE CANCELLATION HAS NOT OCCURED DUE TO SNOW AT THE SITE. The solicitation was posted today. Proposals are due January 28, 2003. Contract time has been changed to a required completion date of September 30, 2006 with earlier required completion dates for portions of the work.
