Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. FHQ03Q50006 is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09, dated September 30, 2002. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 541519. The Department of the Treasury, 401 14th Street, SW, Washington, DC, 20227, intends to award a purchase order for the purchase of Security Maintenance and Software Maintenance for the Government owned Lenel International System software and associated equipment and peripheral devices in Kansas City, Kansas for a period of 12 months from date of award. The service shall provide complete maintenance (parts & labor included) for 24-hourday, 7-day week and 365 coverage for all equipment and peripheral devices. The contractor shall provide four (4) hour response time for emergency services during the performance of the award. The award will be made utilizing simplified acquisition procedures and provisions and clauses for Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition is hereby incorporated by reference. The government will award a commercial item purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. The offers will be evaluated on the basis of whether they met the requirement and price including all options. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items must be completed and returned with offer. The clauses may be viewed at http://www.arnet.gov/far. Offers must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time, October 15, 2002. Responses must be in writing and must be received by the due date and time.
