The RFP is expected to be issued on October 31, 2002 and will be distributed through General Services Administration's Federal business Opportunities web site. The period of performance is three years. The overall objective of the contract is to assist the National Bank of Yugoslavia (NBJ), and/or any successor institution, to enhance and strengthen the operation, management and dispatch of all centeral Bank functions in order to ensure a safe, sound and stable banking system. At the behest of the Central Bank and other donors, USAID's efforts will seek to introduce practices and procedures to the Centeral Bank that are consistent with Basle Core Principles and other relevant international standards. This activity will sustain focused effort on the introduction of risk-based examination and supervision. Under this activity a team of advisors will promote the international development of the Central Bank, as well as continue to strenghthen its capacity to ensure the safety and soundness of the banking system through prudential oversight and regulation of licensed banks and other financial institutions.
