Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice for Market Research only for the The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Office of System Accountability. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. As a civilian agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, DoDEA operates 224 public schools in 21 districts located in 14 foreign countries, seven states, Guam, and Puerto Rico with approximately 8,800 teachers serving 106,000 students. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify sources who can conduct a study of the alignment of educational assessments to educational standards. DoDEA is interested in conducting a study of the alignment of three math assessments currently used in the system to their math standards. The main focus of the study would be to answer the research question, "To what extent are the DoDEA math standards at grades 4, 8 and 10 assessed by the three DoDEA-adopted mathematics assessments?" The study will rate the assessments' depth of coverage of each of the math standards at grades 4, 8 and 10. Additionally, standards from grades 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 will be used to determine the assessments' breadth of coverage throughout the mathematics instructional program. The study will also determine what, if any, gaps exist between the assessment and the standards. At some additional time, this same type of study will be required for DoDEA's reading/language arts standards and assessments. This is a Sources Sought Notice for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY.
