- Description
- The Government requires a contractor to shield a room from stray electric and low frequency magnetic fields on-site at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The room is 10? L x 12? W x 9? H. Picatinny will provide the skeletal wood structure, the contractor must provide an RF 36" sealed door. The shielding must perform over the widespectrum from low frequency magnetic fields to RF interference. In terms of frequency, the material installed shall attenuate fields in the range of DC - 10GHz with minimum of 35dB @ 1Khz. The contractor must be capable of testing the shielded enclosure for signal leaks. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and services iaw the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combination synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ)DAAE30-02-Q-0400. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-08. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code is 335999. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The place of performance will be the US Army TACOM/ARDEC, Building #329, Picatinny Arsenal,NJ 07806-5000. The delivery and installation shall be performed approximately January 2003. The exact date and time of performance shall be definitized at a future date. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items, including evaluation factors such as: i. Technical capability of the contractor to meet the govt. requirements. ii. Price of the goods and services provided. Offerors must include with Offer a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items,52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items. A Firm Fixed Price award will be made to the technically acceptable lowest price Offeror. Commercial warranty requirements apply to this acquisition that are consistent with customary commercial practices. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) assigned rating is DO-A7.
