Description

Kaiser-Hill Company, LLC (Contractor), is the Integrating Management Contractor at DOE's Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS) near Denver, Colorado. Kaiser-Hill Company is requesting information from interested parties for providing equipment, training on equipment, and supervision for operation of equipment to remediate contaminated concrete and block surfaces (scarifying/scabbling) within the Building 776/777 complex at RFETS. Generally, the remediation is expected to be accomplished by removal of the paint/epoxy cover and some amount of base material, typically 1/8 inch using hyrdolasing or concrete shaving. If a water system is to be used, interested parties must advise how water will be managed. Other methods, including remote controlled equipment, will be considered based upon demonstrated effectiveness and ease of application. No type of explosives will be allowed. The work is anticipated as being performed in an airborne contamination area and all workers would be required to wear respirators. Send information on potential processes, equipment or tools that could assist the Contractor in performing this remediation. Information shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, technical specifications; pictures, catalog pages, or drawings of equipment; statements of qualifications; and previous experience in performing similar work. Also, include at least two (2) references that the Contractor may contact to verify past performance. Included references are to be for work accomplished in radioactive contamination areas, preferably plutonium. The Contractor may or may not issue a solicitation related to this sources sought for this equipment. Telephone calls will not be accepted. Contractor will not pay any costs associated with response to this notice and Contractor makes no warranty as to the total to be acquired.
