Description

The Department of Treasury, United States Mint, Sales and Marketing Strategic Business Unit, is seeking sources, under A-76, to perform Customer Care Center (CCC) functions for numismatic operations, i.e., order processing and problem resolution. (NOTE: The majority of the orders are already handled by a contractor.) A customer may contact the CCC by telephone, mail, fax or email. Customer service may require order taking, research, written or oral responses, call backs to the customers, computer input and preparation of letters and emails. Service provider/contractor would be responsible for all services, materials, supplies, supervision, labor and equipment, except for government furnished property NOTE (1): SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE; THIS IS A REQUEST TO IDENTIFY SOURCES. (NOTE (2): In accordance with 31 U.S.C. 5136, no provisions of law governing procurement or public contracts are applicable to the procurement of goods or services necessary for carrying out Mint programs and operations. Contractor employees, representatives and/or subcontractors must be able to successfully pass Mint security investigation. The applicable NAICS for this procurement is 561421. Interested sources must submit capabilities statement and past performance information of same or similar services from two (2) other governmental agencies within the last three (3) years to become pre-qualified. If interested sources receive pre-qualification, a copy of the full solicitation will be forwarded to the interested source. Interested sources shall forward a capability statement and past performance information to the Point of Contact, Renea Morton or Anita Jackson, not later than October 7, 2002. Questions must be submitted in writing, emails are acceptable. No telephone requests for information will be honored.
