- NA On or about 02 October 2002, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for the construction of Rehab West Terrace Gravel Seepage, Garrision Dam, Riverdale, ND. Bids will be opened on or about 05 November 2002. This project is set-aside under the Historic ally Underutilized Business Zone HUBZone Program. To be considered for award, successful bidder must be a certified HUBZone contractor. Status as a qualified HUBZone small business concern is determined by the Small Business Administration SBA in accorda nce with 13 CFR part 126. If the SBA determines that a concern is a qualified HUBZone small business concern, it will issue a certification to that effect and will add the concern to the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns on its Internet we bsite at http://www.sba.gov/hubzone. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact Shannon Jeffers or Beth Utecht, PO Box 527, Riverdale, ND 58565, 701-654-7411 ext 238 and 242 respectively. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Ordering below. The work will include the following: Approx. quantities Project consists of removal of the existing plugged gravel drain which is approximately 250 feet long, 30 feet wide and 3 feet thick located 15 feet below the surface of the north powerhouse slope an d replacement with a new gravel blanket drain similar in size and location. The gravel drainage blanket will be tied into an existing collection pipe system The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. The plans and specifications are available on Compact Disk and will be provided free of charge. It has been determined that the number of Compact Disks be limited to one per firm. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. Contractors may view and/or download this project from the Internet at the following Internet address: http://ebs.nwo.usace.army.mil/ Ordering of CD-ROM shall be made through the Internet address above.
