Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-09. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification Code System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 326192. The Standard Industry Classification (SIC) code is 3069. In accordance with FAR 19.102 (a) the small business size standard is 500 employees or less. Line Item 0001, RUBBER FLOORING SYSTEM, 24 INCHES X 24 INCHES X 3/8 INCHES THICK, CUT RESISTANT TILES, PAWLING CORPORATION HL-175 DEC O LOK RUBBER FLOORING OR EQUAL; 1025 EACH. Tile system requires no adhesive, floor preparation, or removal of existing flooring. Composition: Virgin SBR rubber; composition using reclaimed or reprocessed rubber not permitted/not used. Request alternating colors: Windsor Blue/Sand and Chinchilla Fleck AND Gray/Windsor Blue and White Fleck. Price is FOB destination to Nellis AFB NV 89191. NOTE: Offerors submitting OR EQUAL products must include descriptive literature with their offers. Offerors failing to provide descriptive literature with their offers will be considered non-responsive. Descriptive literature submitted must list the basic specifications so that equipment can be verified and a comparison made between models offered to determine best value. Quotes shall be firm fixed price. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror who provides the low price, technically acceptable offer to the government. OFFERORS MUST FAX OR EMAIL THEIR OFFERS BY 2:00 PM PST, 27 SEP 02. CONTRACTORS SHALL PROVIDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THEIR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS. FAR 52.212-3, Representations and Certifications and other clauses listed in this synopsis/solicitation can be found at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The following provisions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; and 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Offerors who fail to submit completed Representations and Certifications may be considered non-responsive. FAR provisions 52.214-13, Telegraphic Bids; 52.214-21, Descriptive Literature; and DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration are also applicable. Lack of Registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) shall make an offeror ineligible for award. For solicitations after 1 Jun 98, all contractors are required to be registered in CCR database to receive a DOD award or payment. In order to register, the contractor must have a DUNS number (call 1-800-333-0505) to obtain one or register via Internet at www.ccr200.com. This takes approximately 48 hours to process; all other methods take approximately 30 days.
