- We are conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of MCU-2P NSNs: 4240-01-415-4239, 4240-01-415-4240 and 4240-01-415-4241 for USAF personnel and the Navy Kit NSNs: 4240-01-497-7467, 4240-01-497-7783 and 4240-01-498-1189. This is a build to print acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (basic plus five option years) and will continue through FY08. The projected quantities will be an aggregate total of all mask sizes (small, medium and large), the quantities are in a range of 5,000 minimum and 100,000 maximum per year. The Navy kit projected quantities are, also an aggregate total of all sizes (small, medium and large), the quantities are in a range of 6,000 minimum and 20,000 maximum per year. MCU-2P is a gas mask that provides personal protection against biological and chemical agents. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. A Draft Requirements Description Contractor Capability Survey and a Contractor Capability Survey are available on the web. The extent of foreign participation or level of security clearances required to receive a solicitation has not yet been determined. Therefore, participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous.
