Description

The 37th Training Wing (37TRW), Lackland AFB, TX intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to General Dynamics Decision Systems of Scottsdale, AZ, for communication equipment. This acquisition is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3663. The NAICS code is 334220. This equipment is required for replacement of existing air to ground transceiver equipment. The following items will be procured: URC-200: Transceiver (URC-200) 1 EA, Car Mounting Kit (UVU-110S) 1 EA, Antenna w/ Mounting Kit (UVU-110S) 1 EA, Hand Microphone (PTMP-150) 1 EA, Remote Control Unit (UEC-120) 1 EA, Remote Accessory Cable (URE-U-A10-LLL-YY) 1 EA, Amplified Remote Speaker (PTSH-104) 1 EA, Battery Box (UBC-100) 1 EA, Batteries (BB-590/U, Ni-cad Rechargeable) 2 EA, Battery Charger (UBS-110) 1 EA, Carrying Bag (UCB-300 Black) 1 EA. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package that provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirements. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 25 September 2002. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 3:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, 24 September 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
