Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quotations; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number 02Q155 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 334111 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for a quantity of four (4) BSI model Ilink Workstations. These workstations are to be used in a mobile computer forensic environment. Technical Specifications: BSI Ruggedized Ilink Case; Notebook DVD/CDRW Combo Drive; 3 x 5.5" and 2 x 3.5" Internal Drive Bays with removable IDE Drive Bays; IEEE Firewire PCI Card; Rubberized Keyboard; Intel Pentium 4, 2.53GHz; Motherboard- MBP4-D845GVL (6PCI, 1AGP, 3DIMM); Hard Drive- 80GB; Memory- 1024MD DIMM Memory; Graphics Card-Conversion Board with G450 32MB; Display- 15.4" TFT 1280x1024 SXGA LCD; Network Device- Build-in 82562ET 10/100BT; Sound Card- 1885 Audio On Board; Modem- US Robotics 56K V.90 PCI Fax/Modem; 3 in 2 Metal IDE Frame Remove Kit with fan; Promise Fastrak tx2000 Ultra-ATA/133 2- Channel Raid; 300 W ATX Auto-Switch 110/220 440Hz VAC Power; Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional; PCMCIA Card Reader PCI Card; Guardian 250W UPS PCI Card; Intellimouse; Extra Carrybag for PCATX-R9 System; External 12V Battery; External 12VDC Car Adapter; Air Cargo Case for PCATX-R9 System. The Contractor shall deliver items, FOB Destination, with all freight included in the delivered price, to U.S. Secret Service, Washington Navy Yard, 245 Murray Drive, SW, Building 410, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Ron Green. Delivery time- 30 days after receipt of order. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Paragraph (a) insert: "The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror whose quotation, conforming to the Request for Quotation as provided herein, is lowest in price."; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items. The following clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222.19, Child Labor - Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies; 52.225-1, Buy American Act-Balance of Payments Program--Supplies; and 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration. Quotations must contain the following information: 1) Pricing and delivery schedule and 2) Completed and signed copy of the FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications. All responsible offerors shall forward quotations to U.S. Secret Service via facsimile at (202) 406-6801, Attn: Christina Smith. Quotes may also be forwarded by email to csmall@usss.treas.gov. All quotes must be received no later than 4:00 P.M. (EST), September 23, 2002. Award is anticipated within three (3) days of receipt of quotations.
