Description

This is a notice of procurement with TEAC America, Inc., on an other than full and open competition basis for two each V83ABF Airborne Video-Cassette Recorder/Reproducerss under an exchange program. This is considered a commercial item per Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13 for which only one responsible source is known. This is a requirement for the Test Article Preparation Department onboard the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland. A firm-fixed-price type purchase order is contemplated with the TEAC America, Inc., as the manufacturer and the only responsible source capable of providing the required item. The appropriate NAICS Code is 421690 (size standard 100 employees). To be eligible to receive an award for this requirement, the successful contractor must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. To register, apply through the Internet at http://www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Government intends to issue a purchase order with TEAC America, Inc. to meet this requirement. Consideration of the responses is solely within the discretion of the Government, generally for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
