Description
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Applications Engineering, Center for Information Technology Integration (CITI) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) notice to industry, seeking comments on its Performance Work Statement (PWS) for its Advanced Information Technology Services - Joint Program Office (AITS-JPO) acquisition. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY!! This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation document. This notice is solely being issued to industry in an attempt to get comments on its PWS. The Government will NOT pay for information received in response to this notice. Submitted documents will NOT be returned to those firms who provide responses to this RFI. The objective of this RFI is to obtain market research in order to assist in the development of acquisition documents. No award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. The CITI has a mission to transition advanced information technology into agencies of the Department of Defense (DOD). The AITS-JPO facilitates the rapid transfer of advanced information technology from the research and experimentation stage through pilot operations to deployment and full-scale implementation within the Defense Information Infrastructure (DII). Additional information describing the AITS-JPO, along with its projects and pilot services, may be found at www.aits-jpo.disa.mil. CITI manages the AITS-JPO as a cooperative effort with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); the Joint Staff Director for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (JS/J6); and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This acquisition provides AITS-JPO with a contract vehicle to support its mission of providing the rapid transfer of advanced information technology. This acquisition also provides support for the AITS-JPO's Defense Information System Network-Leading Edge Services (DISN-LES) asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 513310, Wired Telecommunications Carriers, with a size standard of 1,500 employees.
