Description
This is a combined synopsis/notice of intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued as a Notice of Intent under NOI2100. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 01-09. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334510 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure a Green Laser Option Custom Product, qty.1, which includes: The Green Laser Option an upgrade to an existing piece of Becton Dickinson (BD) equipment, Model FACS Serial#E3511. This will allow us to use the equipment to visualize fluorochromes that at present we are unable to use and will incorporate two additional colors. BD is the sole manufacturer of the original equipment and the only source able to produce and install the upgrade component. This equipment will facilitate research in vaccine development. FOB Point shall be Destination, inside delivery required to Bethesda MD, 20892. This will be a fixed-price contract. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contractor Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; FAR 52.225-3, Buy American Act. A completed copy of provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be included.
