Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, No. 401812Q348, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This requirement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 422910. SPECIFICATIONS: Aquatic Arsenal (brand name or equal) for aerial treatment of melaleuca. Chemical name of active ingredient is Imazapyr. Packaged in 2.5 gallon jugs (2 X 2.5 gallon jugs = 5 gallons/box). This is the only approved herbicide for use on melaleuca when used in combination with Glyphosate to effectively control melaleuca in wetlands. Chemicals to be stored by vendor until notification by agency, which is expected to be on or about December 2002. The following provisions and clauses are hereby incorporated into this RFQ by reference, (full text of the clauses may be accessed electronically at www.arnet.gov/far/): FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items (see below for evaluation factors); FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items (in paragraph b check 1, 3, 5, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20 and 25. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items; add 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. No other addenda apply to these provisions and clauses. Vendors wishing to respond to this solicitation shall provide this office with the following: a price quote on company letterhead for the requested. Quoters shall provide a listing of major contracts completed in the last 3 years for similar work (include project name/identification, contract name and telephone number). Potential quoters shall also include a completed copy of provision FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with their quote. The Government will award contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is most advantageous to the Government, price and past performance considered. Quotes shall be received by Close of Business, September 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Only written quotes (mail, fax copy or hand carry quotes) will be accepted.
