Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to initiate a procurement for VME Based AB/C NTDS switch modules and transition modules. This procurement is brand name mandatory citing statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition Title 10, U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The sole manufacturer of the required modules is GET Engineering, 9350 Bond Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92021. GET Engineering Part Numbers 10044101 Switch Modules and 10036022 Transition Modules are required to support the AN/TPX-42A(V) Project. These modules are the only commercial-off-the-shelf items that can meet these identified Government minimum requirements. The minimum requirement for this procurement is to provide a Versa Module Eurocard (VME)/AB-C Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) Parallel Channel Switch with a MIL-STD-1397 Type A/B/C interface and be hardened for shipboard use, with the VME 6U form factor, use a switch ground control, and a 79-pin connector conforming to MIL-C-38999. The Transition Modules are needed for transition from the VME backplane to the MIL-C-38999 type connectors on the chassis back panel. GET?s VME NTDS Switch Modules are the only VME NTDS Switch Modules currently in the marketplace that meet the Government?s minimum requirements. This action will be processed as a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and simplified acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Subpart 13.5 will apply. Transition Modules (Part Number 10036022) QTY of 300; Option Period I: CLIN 0003 - VME Based AB/C NTDS Switch Modules (Part Number 10044101) QTY of 100; CLIN 0004 ? Transition Modules (Part Number 10036022) QTY of 300; Option Period II: CLIN 0005 - VME Based AB/C NTDS Switch Modules (Part Number 10044101) QTY of 100; CLIN 0006 ? Transition Modules (Part Number 10036022) QTY of 300; Option Period III: CLIN 0007 - VME Based AB/C NTDS Switch Modules (Part Number 10044101) QTY of 100; CLIN 0008 ? Transition Modules (Part Number 10036022) QTY of 300; Option Period IV: CLIN 0009 - VME Based AB/C NTDS Switch Modules (Part Number 10044101) QTY of 100; CLIN 0010 ? Transition Modules (Part Number 10036022) QTY of 300. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334513 with a size standard of 500 employees. The proposed indefinite quantity contract for this equipment shall be for a period of one (1) Base Year Period, and four (4) Option Year Periods. The minimum quantity guarantee for the contract (inclusive of all options) will be the issuance of one delivery order for a quantity of 18 switch modules and 54 transition modules.
