Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NASA/MSFC plans to acquire: Item No. 1 NSN=3D6686, P/N=3DDT-670-CU (1.4L) SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 5 EACH, Item N= o. 2 NSN=3D6685, P/N=3DDT-670-CY (1.4L) SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 5 EACH, Item No. 3 P/N=3DDT-670-SD(1.4L) SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 3 EACH, Item No. 4 P/N=3DDT-470-CU-13-1.4L SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 5 EACH, Item No. 5 P/N=3DDT-470-CY-13-1.4L SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 5 EACH, Item No. 6 P/N=3DDT-470-SD-13-1.4L SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 3 EACH, Item No. 7 P/N=3DSN-CO-C1 MOUNTING CLAMP QTY 25 EACH, Item No. 8 P/N=3D120CS-115 10 MICRO-AMP QTY 2 EACH, Item No. 9 P/N=3D218S TEMPERATURE MONITOR QTY 5 EACH, Item No. 10 P/N=3DDT-670C-CY SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 10 EACH, Item No. 11 P/N=3DDT470-CY-13 SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 10 EACH, Item No. 12 P/N=3DDT-670C-CU SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 5 EACH, Item No. 13 P/N=3DDT470-DI-13 SILICON DIODE TEMPERATURE SENSOR QTY 8. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from LAKE SHORE CRYOTRONICS, WESTERFIELD, OH, pursuant to FAR part 13.106-1(b) which allows for the acquisition of items not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and determined to be reasonably available from only one source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. CST on 25 Sep 2002. Please submit capabilities via fax (256) 544-9354 or e-mail (rhoney.triplett@msfc.nasa.gov). Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334519 and 500, respectively. any interested party shall include their size in their capabilities/qualifications information. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Interested parties shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. The Representations and Certifications required by FAR 52.212-3 may be obtained via the internet at URL:=20=20 http://ec.msfc.nasa.gov/msfc/pub/reps_certs/sats/ Interested parties shall provide copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items with their capabilities. See above where to obtain copies of the form via the Internet. FAR 52.212-4 is applicable. Addenda to FAR 52.212-4 are as follows: 52.232-90, 52.211-90, and NFS 1852.246-71, 52.211-15, and 52.247-34. FAR 52.212-5 is applicable and the following identified clauses are incorporated by reference.=20 52.222-3, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.232-34 and 1852.223-72.
