Description

NA NSN: 8415-01-478-3518 This solicitation is restricted to Geomet Technologies, Incorporated, 20251 Century Blvd, Germantown MD 20874 because they are the only known contractor who meets the requirements. In addition, Geomet possesses the Technical Data P ackage (TDP), Currently, no government owned TDP is available for the splash hood. The aforementioned contractor is a small business concern. This proposed action will result in a firm fixed price, 3 year requirements type contract with two 1 year optio ns to extend the period of performance. First Article testing is required. The maximum estimated quantity is 3,400. FOB is destination. The splashood, consists of disposable industrial and chemical warfare agent protective material that provides splas h protection for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) face mask, breathing valve, C2A1 canister hose, and breathing hose. The splashood provides splash protection to head area. It is a one-size-fits-all hood, constructed of Tychem SL. Panels are s ewn together and taped. The tape is heat sealed. The face area has an elastic opening that fits snugly around Chemical Warfare kit face mask bezel and protective suit face opening. Splashood is used in Mode Level B. This item is part of a chemical resi stant Improved Toxicological Agent Protective Suit. NOTE 22 APPLIES
