Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to IN/US Systems, Tampa, FL 33610, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is to be issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This procurement is for the purchase of one (1) each of the following: 1) Faxitron MX-20 Specimen Radiography System (includes A07 Laser Locator, 12"x14" X-ray coverage, energy range: 10-35kV, timer .1 to 999 seconds, focal spot size 20 um nominal, window filtration: 0.01" beryllium, A02X automatic exposure control, A7020 specimen compression holder, A7102 specimen holder seals (100/pk), installation and training, one-year warranty on parts and labor; 2) A7020 Specimen compression holder; 3) A7102 specimen holder seals (100/pk); 4) Codonics printer; and 5) DC2 digital camera with 2"x2" field of view includes computer workstation and software. The above system has the following requirements: Self-contained cabinet, Digital data output with computer & software, CCD camera shall have a field view of at least 2"x2" and record results directly on x-ray film, X-ray generator shall incorporate an x-ray tube with focal spot not to exceed 20 microns, Energy range shall be 10-35kv, Resolution shall be 10 line pairs/mm or better, Filtration shall be equal to 0.01" or beryllium, Up to 5 times magnification, Footprint of cabine shall be 17" x 18.5" and be suitable for mounting on laboratory bench with all controls convenient for use. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 10 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with IN/US Systems. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
