Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) F41652-02-Q -0003. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement is a small business set-aside under SIC Code is 1731/NIACS code is 235310. Desired delivery date is 90 days after award; FOB destination, acceptance by the government at Dyess AFB. DESCRIPTION: NEW TELEPHONE AND FIBER OPTIC CABLES TO WING STAFF QUARTERS. Install telephone and fiber optics (FO) single mode cable from Bldg 7318 to Dyess Base Housing when contract F41652-02-C-0024 is complete (Estimated date of Completion is 21 Oct. 2002). The contractor shall install four 188B1-100 with 150 foot tails (fully loaded) on the main frame at bldg 7318 switch room. The contractor shall install a new 3M stainless steel perform case in handhole #7. The contractor shall install a two hundred pair telephone cable from bldg 7318 through existing 4? conduit to handhole #7, approximately 3600? (see attach 2). The telephone cable shall be spliced/terminated on the new 188B1-100 in bldg 7318. Splice/terminate the two pair telephone cable in the new 3M stainless steel perform case at handhole #7. The contractor shall install a telephone pedestal on the southeast side of handhole #8. The contractor shall install a 100 pair telephone cable from handhole #7 through existing 4? conduit to the new telephone pedestal at handhole #8, approximately 500? (see attach #2). The 100 pair telephone cable shall be spliced/terminated in the new spliced case at handhole#7 and new telephone pedestal at handhole #8. The contractor shall install a 200 pair telephone cable from handhole #7 in existing 4? conduit to handhole #11, approximately 2300? (see attach 2). The 200 pair cable shall be spliced/terminated in the new 3M stainless steel perform case at handhole #7. The contractor shall install a new 3M stainless steel perform case in handhole #11 and splice/terminate the 200 pair telephone cable. The contractor shall install a 100 pair telephone cable from handhole #11 through existing 4? conduit to bldg 11902, approximately 400? (see attach 2). Splice/terminate the 100 pair telephone cable in the new 3M stainless steel perform case at handhole #11. Install a new 100 pair terminal protector block (fully loaded) in the Communications Room at bldg 11902 and splice/terminate the new 100 pair telephone cable in it. The contractor shall install a 200 pair telephone cable from handhole #11, in existing 4? conduit to bldg 11913, approximately 800? (see attach 2). The 200 pair telephone shall be spliced/terminated in the new 3M stainless steel perform case at handhole #11. The contractor shall install two 100 pair terminal protector block (fully loaded) and splice/terminate the two pair into one of them inside the Communications Room at bldg 11913. The contractor shall install new telephone pedestal next to handhole #15 and #16. The contractor shall install a new 25 pair terminal protector block (fully loaded) at the guard shack (Delaware Gate). The contractor shall install a 100 pair telephone cable from bldg 11913 Communications Room through existing 4? conduit through new pedestal at handhole #15 and then through new pedestal at handhole #16 and then to guard shack at Delaware Gate, approximately 2100? (see attach 2). The contractor shall splice/terminate the 100 pair telephone cable in the terminal protector blocks at bldg 11913, pedestal next handholes #15 and #16 and in the guard shack at Delaware Gate. The contractor shall install a FDC-CHM-096 (fully loaded) in the FO rack in bldg 7318, a FDC-CHM-072 (fully loaded) in the Communications Room at bldg 11902, two FDC-CHM-072 (fully loaded) in the Communications Room at bldg 11913, an EDC-06P-NH (fully loaded) in the Delaware Guard Shack Gate, a SIECOR EDC-12P-NH (fully loaded) next to handhole #8, a SIECOR EDC-12P-NH (fully loaded) next to handhole #15 and a SIECOR EDC-12P-NH (fully loaded) next to handhole #16 (see attach 3, single mode FO only). The contractor shall install a SIECOR 72 stand single mode FO cable continuous from bldg 7318 (FDC-CHM-096) in existing 4? conduit to EDC-12P-NH pedestal next to handhole #8, approximately 4000? (see attach 2). Terminate both ends of the 72 stand FO cable with ST ceramic connectors in the FDC-CHM-096 and EDC-12P-NH pedestal. The contractor shall install a SIECOR 48 stand single mode FO cable continuous from EDC-12P-NH pedestal (handhole #8) in existing 4? conduit to the FDC-CHM-072 in bldg 11913, approximately 3300? (see attach 2). Terminate both ends of the 48 stand single mode cable in the EDC-12P-NH pedestal and FDC-CHM-072 with ST ceramic connectors. The contractor shall install a 12 stand single mode FO cable continuous from FDC-CHM-072 (Communications Room, bldg 11913) in existing 4? conduit to FDC-CHM-072 (Communications Room, bldg 11902) approximately 1200 ? (see attach 2). Terminate both ends of the FO cable in FDC-CHM-072 (bldgs 11913 and 11902) with ST ceramic connectors. The contractor shall install a 48 stand single mode FO cable continuous from FDC-CHM-072 (Communications Room, bldg 11913) in existing 4? conduit through EDC-12P-NH panel (handholes #15 and #16) to EDC-06P-NH (Delaware Guard Shack Gate) approximately 2100? (see attach 2). Terminate FO cable in FDC-CHM-072 (bldg 11913), EDC-12P-NH pedestal (handholes #15 and #16) and EDC-06P-NH (Delaware Guard Shack Gate) with ST ceramic connectors. The contractor shall install six EDC-02P-NH (fully loaded) (see attach 3) one each at 102, 104, 106, 108, 110 and 112 Washington Street. The existing telephone terminal at each quarter shall be used for terminating the phone cable. The contractor shall direct bury (36? deep) a 6 pair telephone cable and a 6 stand single mode FO cable from telephone FO pedestal (handhole #8) in a 1? interduct to each VIP quarters (102, 104, 106, 108, 110 and 112 Washington Street approximately 1600? total (see attach 2). The contractor shall terminate both ends of each cable (six phone and six FO cables) at the applicable pedestal (handhole #8) and each VIP quarters. The contractor shall install six EDC-02P-NH (fully loaded) (see attach 3) one each at 315, 317, 319, 321, 323 and 325 Louisiana Street. The existing telephone terminal at each quarter shall be used for terminating the phone cable. The contractor shall direct bury (36? deep) a 6 pair telephone cable and a 6 stand single mode FO cable from telephone and FO pedestal (handhole #15) in a 1? interduct to each VIP Quarters 321, 323 and 325 Louisiana Street, approximately 900?. (see attach 2) The contractor shall terminate both ends of each cable (three phone and three FO cables) at the applicable pedestal (handhole #15) and each VIP quarters. The contractor shall direct bury (36? deep) a 6 pair telephone cable and a 6 stand single mode FO cable from telephone and FO pedestal (handhole #16) in a 1? interduct to each VIP Quarters 315, 317 and 319 Louisiana Street, approximately 600?. (see attach 2). The contractor shall terminate both ends of each cable (three phone and three FO cables) at the applicable pedestal (handhole #16) and each VIP Quarters. All trenches shall be backfilled and compacted. The government shall furnish: a. 200, 100 and 6 pair telephone cables. b. 72, 48 and 6 stand FO cables. c. FDC-CHM-096 (fully loaded) FDC-CHM-072 (fully loaded). d. 1? interduct. The contractor will furnish all materials and labor (except) what the government shall furnish.
