Description
The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) intends to hold a pre-solicitation conference as a means of exchanging information with industry about the Agency's potential workforce planning initiative. No quotations or proposals are being sought at this time. A formal solicitation will be prepared and released at a future date and time. Of the ?four thrusts? that have been instituted by the Director, DIA to address issues central to the defense intelligence community, none is more broad, complex, or open to widely varying interpretation than the Workforce Thrust. Also, none is more vital to our overall modernization effort. Skilled people will continue to be the common denominator of successful intelligence support, regardless of the customer or mission. The overarching intent of the proposed initiative is to identify the necessary DIA skill mix and balance to meet future mission requirements and transform DIA into a modern knowledge-based organization. More specifically, the Government seeks a contractor to assist it with this proposed initiative and capture details of current workforce, project future workforce requirements, and establish a force structure transition plan. The conference will be held to discuss DIA?s proposed initiative on 20 Sep 02 at 0900 hours, in building 6000, room B7-915, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC. No classified information will be presented or discussed during the conference. Prospective attendees are encouraged to submit questions to the POC identified below. Questions, if any, should be submitted not later than two days prior to the date of the conference. To facilitate entry on to Bolling Air Force Base, attendees must provide the following information, not later than 16 Sep 02: individual name, company affiliation, social security number, date of birth, automobile plate number, make and year. The point of contact for this conference is Lt. Steve Zabinsky, USNR,telephone number (202) 231-8465, fax number (202) 231-2831.
