Description

NA Contractor to remove from Yakima Training Center (YTC) approx. 400 compressed tire bales. The bales are located approximately 20 miles from Exit 115 of I-90 on YTC. Contractor shall provide his own loading equipment. Each bale consists of up to approxim ately 200 passenger compressed tires and held together with 4-5 wires. The bales weigh approximately 2,000 pounds each and are approx. 2-1/2' x 4' x 5' in size. They are stacked up to three high and are in two major groups at one specific location. The bales are to be disposed/recycled IAW all applicable federal, state, & local laws and regulations. A letter certifying proper disposal of the bales shall be required from the Contractor. This requiremnt is 100% set-aside for small business, the size standard for a small business concern including its affiliates is a maximum of $11.5 million in sales. NAICS code 235940 is applicable to this service procurement. Telephonic requests for this soliciation will not be accepted. The solicitation will be available to download on the Fort Lewis Contracting web site on 06 September 2002, this site is located at www.lewis.army.mil/doc. The solicitation will be issued on 06 Spetember 2002.
