Description

The United States Coast Guard, Project Resident Office, New Orleans, LA intends to acquire from Sturdy Corporation, on a sole source basis, approximately (250) two hundred and fifty Engine Control Throttle Interrupt Kits. Sturdy Corporation is the manufacturer of the entire engine and reduction gear electronic control systems for the Coast Guard's 47' Motor Lifeboat and is the only known company that can integrate the throttle interrupt controls into the existing engine management system (DDEC). Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items will be utilized for this acquisition. The NAICS Code is 3353143301, Standard Size is 750 Employees. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
