Description

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Dr. Tshimanga of the Public Health School Without Walls (PHSWW) located in Zimbabwe. The purchase order is for a report on the factors affecting Vitamin A supplementation among children 24-71 months in Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1 in that Dr. Tshimanga is the only known source that has completed the study analysis required to write the report. This is not a request for competitive proposals and the solicitation is not available. Firms that believe they can provide the report are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely of the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
