- NA The CECOM Acquisition Center-Washington intends to award a sole source contract for Microsoft Premier Support Services to Microsoft in accordance with J&A No. 02-119 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2303(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302- 1(a)(1). The sole source contract is necessary in order for the Government to obtain a source for Microsoft Premier Support Services to support Army Small Computer Program Office (ASCP) as they transform the Army?s Infostructure into a modern, flexible, u biquitous, information rich platform and implements an enterprise IT approach of management along with the implementation of an Army systems infrastructure. The proposed action is for the award of a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantit y contract, with a base year and four option years, for the acquisition of Microsoft Premier Support Services. This acquisition is for Microsoft Premier Support Services, through which the Government will obtain Account Management Services, Proactive Serv ices, Information Services, and Technical Support Services. This support includes consulting services from a Microsoft Technical Account Manager, on-site visits, Reactive Incident support, and subscriptions to various on-line tools. These on-line tools i nclude participation in Expert Roundtables which provide customers with access to Microsoft program managers, developers, and support professionals covering key areas of Microsoft technology, and the Microsoft Developer Network Subscription, which provides access to an extensive collection of programming information, development toolkits, and sample code library. The proposed contract will provide the required services to customers within the Army, including various Program Managers and Program Executive O ffices, Information Management Directorates, Installation Contracting Activities, Major Subordinate Commands of the Army Materiel Command, and the Reserve Component Automation System. Other non-Army customers may include the Air Force Readiness Command, t he Air Force Medical Command, The Navy Medical Command, and Commanders In Chief, Pacific Fleet and Atlantic Fleet, the Marine Corps Systems Command, and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
