Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the lastest issue of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis and it is the Governments intent to award as a sole source to TDS Telecom dba Camden Telephone Company (see Numbered Note 22), NAICS Code 811219, size standard $6.0M. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Jacksonville requires a contract for Fiscal Year 2003 (Period of Performance 01 Oct 2002 through 30 Sep 2003)for ISDN PRI trunks at the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Ga 31547 (see the following Statement of Work): STATEMENT OF WORK LOCAL TRUNKING SERVICE AT THE NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE, KINGS BAY, GA The Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Jacksonville is needs to initiate new lease of existing ISDN PRI trunks at the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Ga. Also require the addition on one (1) new ISDN PRI trunk. 1. U.S. Navy Local Access Requirements: a. The Navy requires lease commercial network services for Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Primary Rate Interface (PRI) trunks providing a high capacity access path/interface to the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) supporting simultaneous access, transmission and switching of voice, data and image services. Trunking services shall be provided at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Ga. b. Provide ISDN PRI connectivity transport service between NSB Kings Bay, Bldg 2005, Lucent 5Ess switch and TDS Telecom DMS-100 switch. c. This service will help provide malicious call trace capability. d. Customer trouble reporting 24 by 7. e. Network operation center escalation procedures and contact names will be provided to the customer post purchase order. f. Estimated implementation interval from time of award shall be within 24 working days. g. At the NSB Kings Bay connect to the Government-furnished telephone system via a DSX panel.
