Description

NA The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 by issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number DTRA02-02-T-0055. DTRA Acquisitions Office intends to award a sole source purchase to under the g uidance of simplified acquisition procedures. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (EMRTC) is the only known source to provide and operate the Sandia National Laboratory (SNL) mobile gas guns for penetrator shots. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to provide technical/field support for gas guns shots including the recording of the penetrator acceleration. Performance of Performance will be 30 November 2002 through 31 December 20 02. The proposed procurement listed herein is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611310 with a small business size standard of $5.0 millions. Interested firms have 5 days from the publication of this synopsis t o identify their capabilities in writing. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotes. Qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 5 days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis is solel y within the discretion of the Government.Oral communications are not acceptable to this notice.
