Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) intends to award a sole source contract to Askget.com Inc to comprehensively review the Reference Data Management Pilot Program to determine the feasibility of a Department of Defense (DoD)-wide implementation of the Reference Data Management Pilot Program and to identify potential pitfalls in the processes and procedures currently in place. Askget.com Inc has been the lead in defining the reference data field as a particular area of expertise within data management as a whole. The knowledge and expertise of Askget.com Inc is required to evaluate the Reference Table Pilot Project to assist in determining if the pilot can be taken to a DoD-wide implementation. Askget.com Inc shall document the strengths and weaknesses of the curent program using the known characteristics of reference data and DISA's goals. Askget.com Inc's credibility, knowledge and experience with reference tables shall provide DISA the information to make a solid determination on whether to continue the project for the DoD. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for proposal. No solicitation will be issued. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and is solely at the discretion of the Government. Contract award is contemplated o/a 20 September 2002. See Numbered Note 22.
