Description
The U S Naval Academy (USNA) has a requirement for rental of uniforms for the Midshipmen Food Service Division (MFSD). Contract period is Base Year of 10/1/02 through 9/30/03 with four (4) one-year options starting 10/1/03 and ending 9/30/07. The Company who is awarded the contract shall be within a fifty (50) mile radius of the USNA. All shirts must be 65/35 poly-cotton comfort fabric and all pants must be 65/35 poly-cotton brushed cotton fabric. Uniform rental shall be eleven (11) uniforms per employee as follows: CLIN 0001 Uniforms required for 69 employees with chef?s coat, white; pants, checkered, various sizes. CLIN 0002 ? Uniforms required for seven (7) employees with Lab coats, white various sizes. CLIN 0003 ? Uniforms required for two (2) employees with shirt, navy blue; pants navy blue, various sizes. CLIN 0004 ? Uniforms required for three (3) employees with shirt, light blue; pants navy blue, various sizes. Each uniform shall have the USNA logo. USNA shall provide logo upon award. Each uniform shall have each employee?s first initial and full last name, which USNA shall provide upon award. CLIN 0005 ? White, cloth aprons required for sixty-nine (69) employees. CLIN 0006 Trade-in for USNA uniforms, approximately four hundred and fifty-five (455) various sizes of white chef coats, two hundred and fifty-nine (259) various sizes for black & white checkered pants with zip fly & belt loops, perma press fabric, one hundred and ninety-six (196) various sizes for black & white checkered pants with drawstring & elastic waist, zip fly, twenty-eight (28) navy, cotton, long sleeve work shirts various sizes, and twenty-eight (28) navy cotton work pants various sizes. Eighty (80) lockers with keyed locks for eighty (80) employees. The size of the individual stackable lockers should be at least 32 to 34 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Two (2) secured soil bins should be at least 70 inches tall and 21 inches wide with opening on the side large enough to dispose of uniforms. These lockers and bins shall be provided to the USNA at no cost. These lockers shall be owned and maintained by the Contractor. The cost of repairing or replacing damaged or destroyed lockers or bins shall be the responsibility of the culpable party. If culpability cannot be determined, each party will contribute one-half (1/2) the cost of the repair or replacement. Deliver and distribute clean uniforms to each employee?s locker, pick up soiled uniforms at a minimum of three (3) times a week. There shall be a Pre-Proposal Conference on 4 Sep 2002 at 10:00 am held in the MFSD Conference Room. This solicitation shall close on Friday 9 Sep 2002 at 4:30 pm.
