Description

Sandia National Laboratories is working towards developing technologies used to interdict prohibited radioactive materials. The technologies developed by Sandia can be used to reduce nuisance alarms produced by benign sources, such as medical radionuclides or naturally occurring radioactive materials. These Sandia developed technologies may also be used to operate systems that monitor radiation from moving sources, which is applicable to the interdiction of prohibited radioactive materials. Sandia National Laboratories is seeking partners to be a part of this effort. Of particular value would be industrial participants with experience in providing a path to market following a successful prototype demonstration. Expertise in the area of radiological detection and identification instrumentation is especially appropriate.
