- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis the extension of Contract N61339-00-D-0010, Task Order 0005, currently expiring 31 May 2003. The extension is to be awarded to Cubic Worldwide Technical Services (CWTS), San Diego, CA for a period of four (4) months (01 June 03 - 30 Sep 03). The extension is required to continue COMS support for the SH60B helicopter flight training and maintenance training devices located at Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL and Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA. Statutory Authority for this sole source extension is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by furnishing specific background data which clearly shows an ability to fulfill these requirements, including the source from which you obtained the necessary documentation or if unsuccessful in obtaining, then how you plan to commence performance in June 2003 for the 4 month period. In your response, state if you are a small disadvantaged business, and if you are responding as a prime offeror or subcontractor. The Government will take any responses received within 30 days after the date of publication of this synopsis into consideration. A determination by the Government to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
