Description

**CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTORS REGISTRATION (CCR). FAILURE TO REGISTER RENDERS A CONTRACTOR INELIGABLE FOR AWARD.** Register @ www.ccr2000.com All information pertaining to this acquisition can be found at www.eps.gov It is the offerors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any) This is a combine synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, 27 Aug 2002, at 1000 (PST). All interested parties shall meet at the contracting office at 5865 Swaab Blvd, bldg 588, Nellis AFB. DUE TO THE INCREASED SECURITY MEASURES IN PLACE, CONTRACTORS ARE URGED TO ARRIVE AT THE MAIN GATE VISITORS CENTER , LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF LAS VEGAS BLVD AND CRAIG ROAD, AT LEAST ONE (1) HOUR PRIOR TO MEETING TIME. THE SITE VISIT IS NOT MANDATORY BUT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. OFFERORS MUST INCLUDE WITH THEIR PROPOSALS A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION AT 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS. This solicitation (F26600-02-Q-A066) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23 and the Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 421850, size standard 100 employees. The item description is as follows: Non-personnal Service to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, other items necessary to remove the eleven hundred (1100) gallon internal bladder from the AFFF reservoir tank of the fire suppression system and install a new eleven hundred (1100) gallon bladder, in bldg 256, Nellis AFB, NV. Contractor shall refill the reservoir tank, and test per manufacturer?s instruction. The Government anticipates making award on or about 6 Sep 02. The successful offeror will complete all work within seven (7) workday after award of purchase order. Price quotes shall be submitted by 2:00 p.m. (Pacific), 03 Sep 02 to 99th Contracting Squadron, 5865 Swaab Blvd. Nellis AFB, NV 89191, attention SSgt Michael Bumpus. Price quotes may be sent by facsimile at (702) 652-9570. The following provisions and clauses can be viewed through Internet access at the Air Force FAR Site, http://farsite.hill.af.mil. In accordance with FAR 52.252-1, Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference and FAR 52.252-2, Clauses Incorporated in Reference, the following provisions and clauses are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, Instruction of Offerors-Commercial Items, with the following technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirement of the solicitation (i.e. product literature), the terms of any expressed warranty, price and any discounts, and delivery times; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government.
