Description

Naval Air Warfare Center (Aircraft Division) Patuxent River, MD Code 4.11 has a requirement to purchase three types of MIL-STD-1553B Bus Couplers for the SLAM-ER weapons integration into the P3C aircraft. The quantities needed of each type are: 257 Single Stub Inline Terminated Bus Couplers, 120 Dual Stub Inline Terminated Bus Couplers, and 170 Dual Stub Inline Bus Couplers. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with Milestek Inc., 1506 Interstate 35 W, Denton, TX 76207-2402, on a sole source basis. Milestek Inc. has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government?s requirements. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded to Milestek Inc. for the purchase of the Bus Couplers. The three types must all meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Must meet requirements of MIL-STD-1553 Bus Coupler 2. Turns ratio of 1:1.41 +/- 3.0 percent 3. Operating temperature: -55c to +125c 4. Attaching cables: MIL 17/176-00002 5. Ringing/overshoot: less than 1.0v 6. Droop: not to exceed 20% 7. CMR: Greater than 45db @ 1mhz 8. Primary open inpedance: greater than 3K ohms over frequency range of 75khz to 1.- mhz when measured with a 1.0v RMS sine wave 9. Packaging: Sealed unit capable of full performance @35K feet 10. All resistors: QPL ? RWR80N..FS 11. All leads marked as Stub or Bus. In addition to the above requirements, the couplers must each meet their own individual requirements as follows: Single Stub Inline Terminated Bus Couplers (257): 1. Inline Coupler with 78ohm +/- 2.0 percent terminator 2. Weight not to exceed 140 grams +/- 4% (with leads) 3. Size: not to exceed .700? width X .400? height X 1.400? long Dual Stub Inline Terminated Bus Couplers (120): 1. Inline Coupler with 78ohm +/- 2.0 percent terminator 2. Weight not to exceed 200 grams +/- 4% (with leads) 3. Size: not to exceed .800? width X .500? height X 1.500? long Dual Stub Inline Bus Couplers (170): 1. Inline Coupler 2. Weight not to exceed 200 grams +/- 4% (with leads) 3. Size: not to exceed .800? width X .500? height X 1.500? long This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated.
