Description

Project QJKL 02-0027 Replace Roof on Building 852 consists of the following work elements: (1) Remove the old shingles, underlayment, fasteners, antennas, vents, flashing and trim off the roof of building 852. (2) Clean roof of all fasteners and debris, and other work require readying it for a new asphalt shingle roof. (3) Apply ice dam underlayment in accordance with 1997 Uniform Building Code as supplemented by the Minnesota State Building Code Amendments. (4) Apply felt over entire roof (5) Reinstall existing roof vents, satellite dish and antennas. Plumbing vents shall receive new flashing, and steam relief vent shall receive a high temperature flashing, and flash pan to be reinstalled. Estimate eight new vents to replace existing damaged or discolored vents. (6) Seal all gutter flashing and fastener heads prior to shingling (7) Install roof edge trim (8) Install gutter flashing (9) Install new asphalt-laminated shingles - Landmark Certainteed or equal (Burnt Sienna color) (10) Inspect and clean up area of all debris. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The project performance period is 21 calendar days (7 days for submittal and ordering, 14 days actual on-site work). Once on-site work commences, work shall be continuous until complete. The NAICS Code is 235610, Roofing, Siding and Sheet Metal Contractors and the size standard is $12 Million. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued o/a 29 August 2002 and opened o/a 20 September 2002. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after bid opening with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. This acquisition is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is therefore unrestricted.
