Description

Provide all labor, supervision, equipment and material to: demolish two structural steel communication towers and Building 2B at the NOAA Complex in Charleston, SC. Tower No. 1 and Building 2B demolition include removal of the structures and concrete foundation down to the piles. All electrical power and communication cabling shall be removed to their source. Excavation, backfilling, grading, and paving are required. Tower No. 2 demolition includes removal of the tower, a partial removal of the concrete foundation, and additional foundation work for the new stairs from Building 200. A new exit stair with roof and railings shall be provided, and a new stair to provide access to the roof. Lead paint and flashing, and non-friable asbestos exists. Work to be performed at the NOAA Coastal Services Center (CSC), 2234 South Hobson Avenue, Charleston, South Carolina. Performance period is 60 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The Government estimate for this work is between $100,000 and $250,000. Bid, Payment and Performance Bonds are required. SECTION L OF THE SOLICITATION WILL CONTAIN INFORMATION FOR ACTUAL DATE AND TIME OF SITE VISIT. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be provided in response to written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor. Telephone requests will not be honored.
