Description
The Coastal Systems Station (CSS), Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Acoustic Transducers, Inc., 100 Lopez Road, Goleta, CA 93117 on a sole source basis for a SeaBat 7128 multi-beam forward looking sonar with raw data recording. No other commercially available multi-beam forward looking sonar has been found that can meet all of the following characteristics. General Characteristics: Range - 1 yard to 250/100 yards minimum; Overall Sector Width - Minimum 120 degrees; Vertical Beamwidth - Minimum 25 degrees, and; Topside Console ? (towed/tethered system) - Video display of sonar output, Sonar control, and Minimum 10 hours raw data storage. Receiver Characteristics: Range Resolution - 1.0 inches or better; Individual Beamwidth - Maximum 1.5/0.5 degrees (18/6-inch pixel width @ 20 yards), Data Acquisition - User Controlled (Filter parameters, sample rat e, TVG, etc.), and; Access to Raw Element Data -Minimum 12-bits per sample Up to 1 Msample per second. Transmitter Characteristics: Transmit Frequency - 200/400 kHz; Transmit Waveform - User Definable; Transmit Waveform Phase & Sync - User Controlled; Transmit Pulse Rate - User Controlled, and; Transmit Source Level - 200 dB. Physical Characteristics: Physical Envelope - Transmit and receive arrays must fit within 21-inch diameter flooded cylinder; Electronics - Fit within a 19-inch dry cylinder, and; Survival Depth - Minimum of 600 feet. Delivery will be to the Coastal Systems Station, 6703 W. Highway 98, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 by 30 Aug 2002. NAICS Code 334511 applies. Size standard is 750 employees.
