Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Office, Lexington, Kentucky, intends to issue a solicitation, RFQ 10907-013, for a medical records copying service for the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The contract type is a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract. The contract(s) period shall consist of a 12 month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the service are: 1500 hours per year. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: receiving requests for inmate medical information, pulling the file and copying the requested information, preparing envelopes for the records to be mailed or released to an inmate along with a prepared statement of what is copied. The solicitation will be made available on or about August 14, 2002, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website http://fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is September 10, 2002. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
