Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written Request for Quotation will be issued as an attachment, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number 0034209 is being conducted under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. This RFQ is unrestrictive. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 316219 , and the size standard is 500 employees. The RFQ incorporated provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to award a Brand Name or Equal, Firm Fixed Price type contract. If items called for in the RFQ are identified by a "brand name or equal" description, the identification is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and to indicate the quality and characteristics of products that will be satisfactory. If an equal product is offered, your company's response to the RFQ must clearly identify the brand name of the item quoted as an equal product, and that it meets all the salient physical, functional and performance characteristics of the specified brand name product. In addition, your company response shall include all descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, brochures, etc. . The FBI reserves the right to request a sample which shall be provided at no cost to the U. S. Government. Unless the vendors clearly indicate in their quotes that they are offering an equal product, the quotes shall be considered as offering a brand name product.
