Description

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment required to provide water filtration services at the Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada. Contractor shall install approximately 11 free-standing, reverse osmosis (RO) water dispensing machines utilizing the current water system at the Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada. The machines shall be provided on a cost per gallon basis with an estimated total of 160,000 gallons of water dispensed per year. The price per gallon shall include all costs associated with providing the service, such as installation, maintenance, and removal of machines upon completion of the contract. The duration of the contract shall be a base period with two option periods up to 12 months per contract period. The contract will be utilized until the NAS Fallon/City of Fallon Water Treatment System is in operation. The estimated date of completion of the Water Treatment System is January 2004. The contract award will be made on the basis of price per gallon of water dispensed. The solicitation will be provided for down load free of charge on or about August 8, 2002, via the Internet World Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/. Amendments and notices will be posted on the web site http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/ for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing the solicitation. It is the offeror's responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments and notices to this solicitation. The official plan-holders list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site only. All prospective offerors and plan centers are encouraged to register as plan holders on the web site. Location and points of contact for site visits are identified in the solicitation. This procurement is unrestricted and all qualified, responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. The North American Industry Classification Code is 56179. The related small business size standard is $6.0 million.
