Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase a High-Speed Telemetry Data Recorder. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334515. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract. FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA shall apply. The following is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00178-02-Q-1061 and is a Request for Quote. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote at (540) 653-7088, which shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. DESCRIPTION: Salient Characteristics for High-Speed Telemetry Data Recorder: (1) Record Capability: Unit as purchased will simultaneously record two analog channels at up to 2.5 Mega samples per second each at 8 bits per sample, six PCM streams of up to 4 Mbps each, and two high-speed PCM channels of up to 20 Mbps each; (2) Expansion Capability: Unit capability can be changed in the field by configuring the unit using modules (which are not part of this purchase) within the unit, if necessary, to receive twelve PCM streams of 5 Mbps each, or five analog streams at 2.5 Mega samples per second each, or six high-speed PCM channels of up to 15 Mbps each; (3) Storage Capacity: Unit will record to removable hard disk of 70 Gbyte capacity or more; (4) Upgrade Record Media: Unit will have the capability of changing in the field from hard disk to removable solid-state memory (which is not part of this purchase) for harsh environments; (5) Control and Status: Uni t will contain an internal computer for control and communication. Unit can be controlled using front-panel keys or remotely controlled over RS232 or Ethernet interface. Unit status will be reported to front panel and over RS232 or Ethernet when requested (6) Data Transfer: Data from any channel can be played back at normal or reduced speed as PCM data and clock. Data can also be transferred via SCSI and Ethernet ports; (7) IRIG Timing: Input for IRIG A and B timing signals. Data will be time tagged on storage medium. IRIG timing output available during data playback; (8) Analog Channel Interface: Inputs are high impedance, AC or DC coupled, and at 1 V rms level. Outputs for playback are 75 ohm, 1 V rms, and on BNC connectors; (9) PCM inputs are 75 ohm, TTL level data and clock. Outputs for playback are 75 ohm, TTL level data and clock; (10) Mechanical: Physical dimensions are 19-inch wide standard rack mount, no more than 8.75 inches high and 26 inches deep. Weight not to exceed 45 lbs; and (11) Electrical Power: 120 VAC, 60 Hz., 4 amps max current; (12) Operating Temperature: 0 deg F to 120 deg F. Quote is due 7 August 2002 no later than 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) to: Contracting Officer, Attn: XDS110/Bldg 183/Room 102, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 12 August 2002.
