- NA The U.S Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is seeking to secure a fixed firm price construction contract to renovate the Visitor Information Center, archive and Gift Shop including HVAC, Fire Protection, Architectural, Roofing, and electrical work. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to award a construction contract in response to Invitation For Bid (IFB) solicitation DACA51-02-B-0024, for the FY 02 Visitors Information, United States Military Academy, New York, NY. This is an 8(a) Competitive Solicitation. The applicable SIC Code is 1541 and the NAICS Code is 23310 with a business size standard of $28.5 Million. The estimated Construction Cost Range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The duration of t he project is approximately 570 calendar days. The media selected for the issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet. Pa per copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. However, CDs will be available upon written request stating the Solicitation Number, or Project Name, complete company name and street address (we will NOT deliver t o P.O. boxes). Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to ?FAO, USAED, NY.? Solicitation documents will be available on or about 05 August 2002. Bid opening date will be 30 calendar days following solicitation available date, on or aro und 04 September 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York. Limited to certified 8 (a) Competitive firms. Firms not certified will not be considered for award. Interested parties may download and print the s olicitation at no charge at http://nan.usace.army.mil (contracting opportunities). Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are 486 Based personal computers, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders and subcontractors are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and /or ad denda that may be issued to this solicitation. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list.
