Description
On behalf of the U.S. Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board), the Federal agency responsible for developing accessibility guidelines for buildings, facilities, and transportation vehicles under the ADA and other laws, the Bureau of the Public Debt seeks a contractor to research and report on the horizontal and vertical maneuvering and other parameters (e.g. reach, weight, and knee room where appropriate) of occupied powered wheelchairs and scooters in use in buildings, facilities, and transportation vehicles. Data shall be presented and/or modeled to describe the full range of powered mobility devices in manufacture and use in the United States today, including extremes of size, weight, and maneuverability. The resultant contract will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) labor hour contract which will be awarded for a base and four (4) option years. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list.
