Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Western Region, requires two (2) each of the following: Cisco P/N WS-X6582-FW, firewall module, 5Gbps throughput, for Catalyst 6513; Cisco P/N WS-SVC-IDS-2-K9, Cisco intrusion detection system (IDS) module, 500Mbps throughput, for Catalyst 6513; Cisco P/N CON-SNT-X6582FW, SmartNet maintenance for WS-X6582-FW; and Cisco P/N CON-SNT-IDS2K9, SmartNet maintenance for WS-SVC-IDS-2-K9. The government will install the items in existing Cisco network switches. Delivery required 30 days after Cisco release date, anticipated 8/2/02 for WS-X6582-FW and 12/15/02 for WS-SVC-IDS-2-K9. IFB 02WRSS0032 expected to be issued o/a 7/24/02, bid opening o/a 8/07/02. Interested vendors should register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/. A DUNS number and email address is needed.
