Description
NA A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Section 8(a)firms and/or HUBZone Contractors for this proposed contract for either a Section 8(a)or HUBZone Business competitive set-aside. The proposed contract will be to Design/Build interior and exterior renovations to 12 historic Brick quarters and 210 quarters located in Pine Estates family housing areas at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The work in each of the 210 units in Pine Estates consists of interior renovations to th e kitchens and bathrooms, replacement of HVAC systems, new exterior concrete patios, storage sheds and privacy fencing, paving of existing streets and widening existing driveways as well as replacement of water service to each unit. The work in each of the 12 historic Brick quarters consists of renovation of the second floor bathroom, replace windows, copper roof flashing, replace copper gutters/downspouts, point and clean exterior brick, replace HVAC systems, replace interior power and lighting wiring inst all new communications wiring and construct a new closet in the attic. Project to include construction phasing to allow work to be performed in a limited number of vacant quarters at one time. Paving of roads to be done in phases to maintain traffic. The G overnment will procure and install all ranges, dishwashers and refrigerators by separate GSA contract. The project is planned for advertisement approximately November 2002 with approximate award scheduled for March 2003. Contract duration is estimated at 5 60 calendar days. NAICS Code is 233220; size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00. All interested Section 8(a) and/or HUBZone Businesses should notify this office in writing by email, mail or fa x by 02 August 2002, 4:00 p.m., Louisville time. Responses shall include: (1) Identification of company as Section 8(a) or a HUBZone Business, (2) Past Performance information about completed projects of similar size and scope, and (3) Capability of obtain ing performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollars amounts listed above. NOTE: If qualified Section 8(a) or HUBZone Business firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition. Send responses to U. S.
