- NA This is an unrestricted procurement. This is a Solicitation notice for the construction of the Gulfport Readiness Center (armory) located in Gulfport, Mississippi. Complete Solicitation packets, to include Plans and Specifications, will be available on CD or printed version, upon request from Ridgeway's Inc., 2 Old River Place, Jackson, Mississippi 39202. Point of contact with Ridgeway's is Ms. Paula Sewell, phone (601)355-5000 or email psewell@ridgways.com. Solicitation packets will be available on or ab out August 12, 2002. A Pre-Bid Conference has been tentatively scheduled for Thurs, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. and will be conducted at the Air National Guard Combat Readiness Training Center, Civil Engineering, Bldg 132, Gulfport, MS. Bid opening date has t entatively been scheduled for Sept 12, 2002, and will be held at the same site as the Pre-Bid Conference. This project consists of (1) Demolition of existing airplane hangar, approximately 42,000 s.f. with minor asbestos removal, (2) demolition of existin g Engine Test Facility, approximately 10,000 s.f., (3) demolition of existing building slab, approximately 68,000 s.f., (4) construction of a new Readiness Center with auxiliary support building, unheated storage, hazardous waste, flammable storage, genera tor and guard station, approximately 53,000 s.f. The new work includes, but is not limited to site work for utilities, storm drainage, retention pond, cutting/filling, fencing, parking, landscaping, vehicle wash rack, above ground fuel storage facility, a nd facility sign. New construction includes foundations, dirt fill, concrete slab, steel frame, CMU, split face block and pre-cast concrete veneer, metal roofing, doors, windows, stairs, vault, wire mesh partitions, lectorim seating, lockers, benches, ste el shelving, painting, ceilings, floor coverings, lights, power, communications, security system and a ground coupled heat pump with constant volume air distribution system. The construction estimate is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The North Americ an Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) is 233320, the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542 ($28.5 million).
